Braised endives with cooked ham

For 4 people

Ingredients

4 slices of cooked ham

4 endives sliced lengthwise

75g / 2 ½ oz of comté cheese flakes

250 ml / 8.5 fl oz of reduced-fat béchamel sauce

1 branch of thyme

1 laurel leaf

A few cilantro (coriander) seeds

A pinch of sugar

Salt and pepper

Preparation

Heat the wine with a drizzle of oil in a cooking pot on high heat.

Add a pinch of sugar, salt and pepper, the branch of thyme and the laurel leaf, as well as a few cilantro seeds and brown the endives for a few minutes.

Lower the heat and finish cooking the endives.

Pre-heat your oven at 190°C / 375°F.

Place the endive in an oven dish, cover them with ham and pour the béchamel sauce on top.

Add flakes of comté cheese.

Cook in the oven for 25 minutes and finish with 5 minutes under the grill.
