Apple and vanilla crumble

For 4 people

Ingredients

4 large golden apples

50g / 1 ¾ oz of reduced-fat butter

40g / 1 ½ oz of cane sugar or fructose

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

80g / 3 oz of flour

50g / 1 ¾ oz of powdered almonds

1 tablespoon of cinnamon

Reduced-fat vanilla ice cream

Preparation

Peel the apples and cut them into wedges.

Mix the flour, the cold diced butter, the powdered almonds and the vanilla extract into a bowl and mix briskly with your hands.

Let the resulting shortcut pastry rest in the fridge.

Pre-heat your oven to gas mark 6  / 180°C / 350°F.

Place the apple wedges in an oven dish, sprinkle with cinnamon and lay the pastry on top, paying attention not to squash it.

Bake for 20 minutes.

Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
